HP and Torque

Auterra invented scan tool dynamometer and its been widely used over the years. The horsepower/torque and acceleration features are powered by advanced mathematics and proprietary algorithms to offer unparalleled accuracy and repeatability, proven by hours of testing against a chassis dynamometer.

The charts below compare the Auterra vs. the Dynojet chassis dynamometer. A 2002 Acura RSX with VTEC was tested. The VTEC increases power at about 5800 RPM and both graphs show the gain.

Dyno runs created using DashDyno can be viewed on-screen or opened with the Dyno-Scan for Windows software.

The performance meter features operate by measuring speed and RPM from the vehicle's computer during acceleration. Once the software has collected the data, a graph displayed directly on-screen provides immediate feedback after a run. Statistics are computed for the horsepower torque and acceleration runs, such as peak power, 0-60 and 1/4 speed and time.

Software wizards step you through the process of entering vehicle data and performing a run. Its never been easier to measure vehicle performance any time, anywhere.
